Please note: This comment was added under an alias by the person in charge of the eLearning Society. It's astroturfing. --CT

I am a huge fan of Jane Hart and her work, but I wish that she would do a list a little more specific to eLearning. I was at ASTD Techknowledge not to long ago and there were so many people looking for lists of actual top tools. A good place to go for that type of information is The eLearning Society. Check them out at http://www.elearningsociety.com

Christy, I've been using yugma for a good while. Works great for me. However, late last year I noticed a slow down in screen sharing speed. So I called them about it. they said they were working on the bug. you know what, they were kind enough to call me back a few days later when bug was fixed. Now I think it's faster than before.

I have tried Yugma a little. We have Adobe Connect for screensharing, which is much more reliable than Yugma. As I recall, during at least one of my tests with Yugma, the screensharing was so slow as to be nearly impossible to use. It isn't a tool I'd feel comfortable recommending to others, let alone requiring students to use for courses.

have you heard of Yugma (https://www.yugma.com)? they would be great to use for online classrooms. they have a skype integration too! i find yugma quite handy for holding meetings and training, file sharing and generally making my virtual get togethers more efficient and effective.
